As a high relief painting, the ashes are combined with a proprietary mix which then undergoes the molding process. Once it is dry and has set, it undergoes a process of painting until the final piece is complete.
We ask to allow for a time span of eight to ten weeks once we have received the ashes, which allows for each piece to be fully developed and complete before being sent to you.
Petite Collection: one ounce
Premier Collection: three ounces
Grande Collection: entire content of the ashes of your loved one
We follow very strict procedures during the process. We assign a personal ID to each order that allows us to track the ashes through the entire process. Every Inherit Artworks cremation painting is delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity to guarantee that your memorial artwork was created from the remains of your loved one. In addition, the back of the art piece can sometimes reveal the ashes contained within it.
Inherit Artworks uses the entire contents of ashes that you send to us so no leftover ashes remain.
Yes, you may send any amount that you have as long as it does not go over the required amount for the art piece you have ordered.
Yes, we use the same process for animals as for human ashes.
Once the order is submitted, we will send you a welcome package that contains the information you need to send us the ashes.
Currently, the United States Postal Service is the only shipping service that will accept cremation remains. We ask that you please use this service to ship your ashes to us. However, once made into an art piece, we will ship the final product to you via Fed Ex express shipping. Any product from the Grande collection has a separate courier process from the other lines.
We understand that situations happen unexpectedly. When using a third-party shipping service, we rely on their ability to get the product and ashes to us and you at the appropriate times, without delays, lost items or damages. However, we understand that these things may happen on rare occasions and are beyond our control.
In the event a product arrives at your doorstep damaged, we will fix the damaged item if we are notified within seven days of delivery. When you receive the package, if you notice the package has been damaged, please take a picture of the package prior to opening. Do not throw the box away unless otherwise told by Inherit Artworks. Upon opening, please also take pictures of the damaged product. This will assist us in rectifying the situation and is needed for insurance purposes.
We offer a refund, less a $75 value of the welcome kit, up to the time we have accepted the cremation ashes. After such time, there are no refunds due to varying process stages. Therefore, refunds are not available once we have received the ashes.
We are located in South Carolina, USA.
The frames that encase the artwork are permanent fixtures and cannot be removed. However, a larger frame with a deep setting can be placed over the permanent one if you so desire.
Additional designs are in the works and will be posted soon.
We are working on expanding our collection to include larger sizes.
We create each piece of art by hand, allowing us to add your loved one's ashes during the creation process. Each work of art is hand painted, which also creates slight differences in the image. The final result is a unique piece of art specifically for you.
